Just wanted to share this short text from Washington Post with you.

"Regarding the Sept. 25 news story "Yemen Rejects Some U.S. Requests on Extremists":

I spent the past two months studying intensive Arabic in Sanaa, Yemen. When asked my nationality, I did not hesitate to say that I was American -- because the response was, without exception: "You are welcome in Yemen."

In the Arab world's poorest country, a street vendor who knew I was fond of bananas cheerfully gave them to me for free whenever I passed by. Once, when I found myself far from home without a ride, a man drove me on an hour's journey to my destination. He told me that he did this "in the name of God." "Prophet Muhammad required that we never turn away anyone in need, even if they are not Muslim," explained another Yemeni, whose family frequently welcomed me into their home.

Terrorists in Yemen have had ample time in the media to demonstrate to the American public what they do "in the name of God." Will Americans ever know what the rest of Yemenis do, in the name of God?

we have some highly cooperative people in yemen. If you've ever went outside early in the morning on a regular day, took public transportation and walked around Souks you'd really discover how nice our people in yemen are.

They're very helpful, very modest and like the prophet mentioned

It great to read that someone does see the good side of yemenis. Unforunatly it has become common for the media to only concentrate on the bad minorty and ignore the the rest.
