 Al Taif's Trip!!!
Assalam Alikum all, I was browsing youtube looking for some videos, and as everyone knows how this site could be sooo addicted especially when I have assignments due!!! . Almoehm, I came across this video where Alshi5 Mohammed Hassan talks about Amr Khaled, in regarding to what he said about Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) trip to Al Taif , and describing it as a faild one. I would like to hear what you guys think about that. Did Amr khaled really made a mistake by that description, or we are allowed to say so. Note: I think that Alshi5 Hassan did not really mention anything to support his point, or at least not in that video, but his reaction was sufficient to see where he stands. Salam,

 Re: Al Taif's Trip!!!
Interesting,
Even though, i believe so much that arguing in such issues is just useless and a waste of time, but i want to comment.
I don't know who Mohammed Hassan is, i have not heard of him, but i wonder why you called him "Shai7' ", he does not have a quality of a shai7' at all... look at the way he attacked Amr Khaled, is that really the best way he could comment on that issue??
He could have provided a more constructive advice or comment on that matter, for example:
Brother Amr Khaled, i do not believe that the prophet's trip to Altaif has failed, there is a historical evidence that it produced many useful outcomes.... the evidence for that is ......(He can put he arguement for discussion)
But NO, he just harshly expressed his hard feelings towards the man....
Well, if you want my opinion, i would just recommend that you don't listen to such people, they brainwash you with their ideology, and they BELIEVE SO MUCH that they are right and everyone else is worng..
Thanks for sharing anyways,

 Re: Al Taif's Trip!!!
Thanks for your reply yemenvista,
I actually did not pay attention as I was calling him shi5 but I know that he is kinda of a famous da3ia whose voice reaches people And honestly I was very shocked by the way he was arguing, coz he basically was shouting. As you ‘ve mentioned, he should have used another way to convey his message, considering the fact that Amr Khaled has his value nowadays. Since he has actually been achieving lots of things, at least form my point of view. But unfortunately I sometimes belive that we Arabs are just too weak to fight our enemies " people were or situations", so we tend to fight each other and find any mistakes to just enlarge it and make it the whole issue and the reason of our failure.!!
I could look at such argues differently if we at least use a better language of discussion ,by respecting the other side regardless of any other considerations..
peace,

 Re: Al Taif's Trip!!!
Sheikh Mohammed Hassan is one of the most eloquent and well known scholars these days. He is famous more for his khotab and mawa3ith than anything else. He has books of khotab published, ranks #2 among the most popular khotaba2 on islamway and is a very knowledgeable person as far as I know. So he deserves to be called shaikh.
Amr Khaled is also one of the best do3ah of our times. He himself does not describe himself as a sheikh, but a da3iyah. He's done so well in connecting with the Muslim youth and introduced hope and confidence to so many young people. His approach is reputable as being close to people's minds and hearts and by far one of the best speakers on youth and Muslim issues today. The Times magazine rated him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world (not that I care about the rating anyway)!!
I have not seen the video, as I do not have headphones here, but I have heard and read for so many scholars attacking Amr Khaled because of some slips here and there. I will not go into listing them here, and I do strongly believe that they say what they say with good intentions, but they do not realize that should they have anything to say they should direct it to Amr Khaled himself and in private for that is Nasee7ah. I am sure Khaled won't have a problem correcting himself if he's made a mistake, and he's done that in the past. But publicly attacking each other is not the right thing to do as it confuses so many people as to who is right and who is wrong, and what it implies about this or that sheikh.
Allah yahdeena bs.
